JAMIAT PRESIDENT’S TWO-DAY TOUR OF MEWAT

In response to the invitation of District Jamiat Ulama, Gurgaon, Ameer-ul-Hind Maulana Syed Asad Madani visited Mewat (Haryana) on April 15-16, 2004.Whereever, he went he received an enthusiastic welcome. Maulana Abdur Rahim Baddedwi accompanied him. He visited nineteen important institutions at different places and addressed important meetings there. More than a thousand men and women became his disciples during the tour. It is the area where members of Qadiyani sect are spreading their wings. One of the aims of the visit was to counter their mischief.

He started his visit from Madrasa Tahfeez-ul Quran, Ghaseda Town. Maulana Sher Mohammad Ameeni, Manager of the institution, received him there. He had a very busy schedule there. He addressed a largely attended meeting in the spacious mosque of the institution. He released a book about Dar-ul-Uloom, Deoband by Mufti Javed Ashra of Madrasa.

From Ghaseda, he moved to Ferozepur Namak. He was received there by leading theologians and representatives of Madrasa Islamia. At the residence of Mulla Mahmood, more than sixty women became his disciples. Due to short time, men did not get that opportunity. Among important themes of his addresses was the warning against the mischievous activities of Qadiani sect.

MAULANA MADANI’S LETTER TO ANDHRA CM

My Dear Dr. Reddy,

Please accept my most sincere and heart-felt greetings for your election as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Due to your hard work, the state has become free from the clutches of communal forces. The minorities all over the country heaved a sigh of relief on your glorious victory.

The relationship between Indian National Congress and Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind is old and sentimental. That is true about the two organizations and also for myself. That is why I am so happy about your success. However due to recent continued illness I have not been active for the Party.

I hope and pray that Andhra Pradesh grows and prospers under your sagacious leadership. The minorities too expect a fair deal.
